What we manage
- Motion graphics visual identity for the team during The Ocean Race Europe
- Narrative structure of Malizians Season 2 — nine episodes
- Editing support on pieces such as UNCONVENTIONAL and other team edits
The challenge
Team Malizia races IMOCA 60s around the planet while running an onboard ocean-science and climate-education programme. Hundreds of hours of onboard footage per campaign, a global audience in several languages, and stories that move between the Southern Ocean and classrooms.
The team's content has to serve racing fans, sponsors and its climate mission at once — without lowering the bar on any of them.
Our ongoing role
We created the team's motion graphics visual identity for The Ocean Race Europe — the graphic system its racing content is built on. [Placeholder: confirm wording with the team]
We shaped the narrative of Malizians Season 2 across its nine episodes: structuring hundreds of hours of onboard and stopover footage into a documentary series with a beginning, characters and stakes.
And we provide editing support on the team's flagship pieces, such as the documentary UNCONVENTIONAL, along with multilingual subtitling in English, German and French.
Why it works
Racing content lives or dies by turnaround, and climate content by accuracy. Working with a studio that comes from ocean science and has delivered under live-event pressure — The Ocean Race, SailGP — means the team doesn't have to choose between the two.
The collaboration is ongoing across documentary and campaign projects, including the team's educational series for schools.
