NGO Xaloc

Xaloc is an NGO dedicated to the conservation of sea turtles and Mediterranean coastal biodiversity, combining fieldwork, research and environmental education. xalocmar.org

Xaloc protects sea turtles and marine biodiversity on the Catalan coast. Like most field NGOs, its hardest communication problem was making patient, technical conservation work visible and emotionally real to supporters.

Over two years we built the organisation's visual storytelling: filming and editing field stories, nesting-season coverage and awareness content designed for the channels where its community actually lives.

The featured video sums up the 2023 loggerhead turtle nesting season in Spain. It was produced for Fundación Biodiversidad within the framework of the LIFE INTEMARES project, bringing the season's fieldwork to a national audience.

Beyond video, we also designed the organisation's printed and digital materials — posters for campaigns and events, the institutional dossier and the sea turtle workshop materials shown below.

The work gave a small NGO a visual identity and a story archive far beyond its size — and proved that scientific accuracy and emotional storytelling aren't opposites.
